Description
This stunning piece features a Splendid Fairy Wren (Malurus splendens) cock bird in nuptial plumage. Based on an photograph by Stuart Milde Photography, taken at Mount Mary, South Australia. Used with kind permission.
The bird is made from approximately 20 different colours or stained glass, all hand-cut by me. Background is predominantly Kokomo stained glass, and features eucalypt leaves and blossoms.
The piece has been grouted in Translucent Grout, with highlights in cement grout.
