Learn the basics of mosaic using glass tile and/or stained glass.Â
THURS mornings – 3 hours from 10:0am-1pm. A fun social atmosphere. All tools are provided for student use. Tea and Coffee available. Beginner friendly, although those with some experience are also most welcome. Classes are limited to a maximum of 5 students, to ensure you get the tuition you need.
I will be working alongside you, and am there to discuss project ideas and designs, and guide you in all things mosaic. You will receive as much tuition as you need or want. Adult students only please.
I will bring your ticket to your first session.Â
- When you purchase a block of tickets, you receive your first substrate for free (these are based on available stock).
- Work on your own projects – a wall plaque, plant pot, small table, sun catchers, mirrored panels, house signs, pavers, garden rocks, Solar lights etc.
- Bring a piece you have at home, or
- Order substrates from me here. Place an order, and allow a week for fabrication. I will bring it to class for you once it is made.Learn about using which materials where; tools – how to use & care for them; adhesives; substrates; safety and more. Work in glass tiles, stained glass or mirror.
- We can work with ceramic (broken plates etc.,) by arrangement. It is not my preferred material, but I do have some stock that I can bring if required.
- You may bring your own materials if you wish, although I do prefer that you use my materials.
- I have a Dremel (for engraving) and a small Grinder available for student use.
- Seniors discount not applicable for these classes.
Classes are held at The Community House, 33 Prichard Cct, Richardson. There are full kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave etc) available, and the room is air-conditioned and wheelchair friendly. Off-street parking is available.
Please wear closed-toe shoes, and old clothes. Bring a full-length apron (I do have some for purchase). A COVERED drink bottle is advised. Bring a working, charged camera or smart-phone.
