Description
How much epoxy grout do you really need?
Epoxy grout is more expensive that cement grout, so you want to minimise the amount of wastage when using it. I have created a grout usage calculator that works for all Litokol epoxy grout, in either millimetres & grams, or inches and ounces. Other brands may have different mixing ratios. It is easy to use, and never expires.
The calculator is an excel spreadsheet that you can download for FREE. I offer this as a free service, and do not provide any support. It should be very easy to use. Please let others know that this calculator is provided courtesy of Merlin Mosaica.
- It is designed for flat pieces – you will need the width and height of your piece
- For 3D pieces, you will need to estimate the flat equivalent surface area.
- The Spreadsheet has been amended to allow for circular or triangular pieces as well as square/rectangular pieces.
- Add it to your cart, and checkout.
- Once you finalize the checkout process, you can download the file.
- There should be no postage.
- Do double check to make sure “Local Collection” is showing as the postal option.
- Locate your download folder, and open the file.
- If asked to enable editing, please do so.
- Enter the dimensions of your work in the highlighted cells. This is the area to be grouted.
- Select the Shape of your piece (you can choose from rectangular/square, circle or triangular).
- If your piece includes areas that are not going to be grouted, exclude them from your measurements:
- Yellow for metric (millimetres) or
- Orange for Imperial (inches)
- The total amount of grout required, and the amounts of Hardener (Part A) and Paste (Part B) will display in the rows below, next to the RED arrow
