Projects for a chilly afternoon

It’s been a chilly afternoon here in Canberra today, but I wanted a break from packing product. So I used some heat-sensitive adhesive film and my trusty heat gun as a way to warm up!

I made 2 coasters using tiles from the Eco Pearl range, and a cute little pendant using some new transparent melted millefiore (my fave – turquoise of course) and some glass shards. All up the 3 took me about an hour. I used a mosaic adhesive film to glue them in. I must say it is quick to use, and no mess. Stay tuned, as I’ll be offering it for sale shortly.

They are ready to grout now (but the garage is just too cold), but I’ll do them later on in the week. Black for the pendant and Grecian Key coaster, and pale grey for the mirrored coaster (mirrored pieces are from my personal stash – not the Merlin Mosaica range).

I’ll do another pair of coasters to match these ones but in different colours.

Quite a productive afternoon, whilst I wait for some extra pieces for the Zulu, and find inspiration to clean Percy!

The only cutting I did was some of the glass shards – with my new Starrett nippers. They cut everything like it was butter…. am super impressed!

Hi Steph, Yes it will be for sale when I grout it – I can do that tonight, but I don’t have a chain…. I’ll be in touch! It is rather yummy isn’t it?
