Description

A circular wreath surrounds a Christmas themed piece.  Join them with the supplied swivel, and you have a Christmas Sun-catcher, or Door decoration.
These laser-cut shapes make fabulous sun-catchers!  They are suitable for exterior use, so look fabulous in your garden!  Use with transparent or translucent glass or tiles.

  • Shapes are covered with a protective paper film on both sides. Image shows shape with protective layer. Remove front layer before mosaicing, and leave the rear layer on until finished as protection against scratching.
  • Thickness is 3mm
  • Ships in a flat box
  • A simple circular wreath, with two holes drilled in the top.
  • The Central cut-out is approx. half the diameter of the outer wreath
  • I recommend using Crystal Fix-All, Prep Multi-Use adhesive or No Days Adhesive
    NOTE: You can use No Days Adhesive film with Acrylic sheets in the oven. This video is from America, so the temps have to be adjusted – 260°F is roughly equivalent to 120°C.

To build your Suncatcher:

  1. First, select an acrylic shape (they are available here)
    • These  are made of 3mm or 4.5mm clear acrylic (also known as Perspex).
    • You can choose to have a top hole, a bottom hole, or both.
    • You can use some of your own stash to decorate them, or use stained glass or beads – the choice is yours!
  2. Remove the protective paper on one side, and glue your tesserae on with a weatherproof, clear-drying adhesive. I recommend Prep Multi-use adhesive.
    • TIP: you can draw a design on the protective paper on the BACK side of your piece with a sharpie. Remember, it will appear in reverse from the front.
    • Make sure you leave your hanging hole clear.
  3. Use our Suncatcher wire, thread on some Tail beads, and add a tail weight
  4. Use Crimp beads to make the hanging loops, and secure the beads
  5. Squeeze the beads onto your selected wire with a pair of crimping pliers
  6. Attach a swivel & hook – I have a few different choices:

  • – 5 full sheets (10 half sheets) fit into one Pizza-style box, approx. weight is 3 kilos.
  • – 6-10 full sheets will fit into a large glass box.
  • – 11 full sheets or more will require a shipping quote based on your postcode, as they are NOT standard sizing.

Postage Unders & Overs:

Some errors may occur in shipping calculations, due to the complexities of combining products in one order.  If you have overpaid shipping I will refund, or issue a credit. If you have underpaid, I will invoice for the difference.  If you feel the postage charge is incorrect – please contact me by phone (most immediate) or email.

No refunds will be given for glass sheets damaged in transit.
I package carefully. However, damage may occur during transit. Product is shipped entirely at your own risk.

  • – You can now request a Shipping Quote. Please allow a few days to get a response (due to time differences) as these are prepared manually at the end of the business day.

  • – Grouts ship to Australia and New Zealand only.

Free Postage (Australia only) on orders above $250 will NOT apply:
