Description

This stunning piece features a Splendid Fairy Wren (Malurus splendens) cock bird in nuptial plumage.  Based on artwork by the very talented Carlie Edwards of Earthdrann Studio.  Used with kind permission

The piece is made from approximately 35 different colours of stained glass, all hand-cut by me.  Also includes hand-drawn filati.   The background is a mixture of strips of white glass in differing widths, textures and finishes.

The piece has been grouted in Translucent Grout, with highlights in cement grout.

• Stained Glass on 25cm (10inch) square Cradled Board.
• Framed in Baltic pine
• Suited for interior display only.
• Mounted with picture wire, ready to hang.

• Once approval to proceed with the design, a design fee is payable, even if the final purchase does not go ahead.  The design process includes:
  • a rough-out of the design
  • suggested materials
  • indicative cost
  • allows for a number of iterations (varies depending on the complexity and size of the piece.
• Once the design has been approved, a payment plan will be developed:
  • The initial payment will cover materials cost, and 25% of the estimated labour.
  • payment will be broken into various stages, depending on the overall value of the commission.
  • I retain ownership of the piece until completed.
