Description
Imagine the possibilities! A little bit goes a long way
These colorants vary in intensity, so are sold by different weights. They have an unlimited shelf life and are UV stable. You can mix them with all other Rainbow Colorants to create different shades.
Maximum Load:
- is listed on the individual jar/product listing.
- Exceeding this percentage will not increase the colour intensity.
- Mixing less will create a lighter colour.
- Do not mix over 10% by volume into your grout, as grout quality may be compromised.
The standard colour set does not include specialty colours of YG88 Yellow, Plum, Hesperidium Orange, Caribbean Blue, Lemon-Lime or Latte. These need to be ordered separately.

I am currently shipping orders on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays.
I operate this business without assistance. Whilst I DO endeavour to ship as soon as I possibly can, I cannot guarantee to ship out the same day as the order is received.
- – 5 full sheets (10 half sheets) fit into one Pizza-style box, approx. weight is 3 kilos.
- – 6-10 full sheets will fit into a large glass box.
- – 11 full sheets or more will require a shipping quote based on your postcode, as they are NOT standard sizing.
- – If Express postage is required, please contact me
Postage Unders & Overs:
Some errors may occur in shipping calculations, due to the complexities of combining products in one order. If you have overpaid shipping I will refund, or issue a credit. If you have underpaid, I will invoice for the difference. If you feel the postage charge is incorrect – please contact me by phone (most immediate) or email.
No refunds will be given for glass sheets damaged in transit.
I package carefully. However, damage may occur during transit. Product is shipped entirely at your own risk.
International Shipping:
- – You can now request a Shipping Quote. Please allow a few days to get a response (due to time differences) as these are prepared manually at the end of the business day.
- – If purchasing from the US, be aware that US Government Tariffs and Postal Clearance fees will be included on your order. Merlin Mosaica charges a small processing fee. Read more here
- – Apologies – I do NOT ship glass internationally.
- – Grouts ship to Australia and New Zealand only.
Free Postage (Australia only) on orders above $250 will NOT apply:
- – If more than one parcel is required. I will apply Free Shipping to the most expensive (shipping-wise) parcel. I will bill you for shipping on other parcel(s) in the order.
- – If a Seniors/Pension Discount code is used. Please consider carefully which option presents the best value to you.
Your understanding is appreciated.
What you will need
- Scale to measure in grams
- Metal measuring spoons
- Large container for mixing
- Small container for testing colour (silicone)
- Metal spatula
- Mosaic baggies are handy to pipe grout or adhesive onto your piece – available here
- Dropper or syringe for water
Mixing suggestions
- Shake powdered colorant and cement base in a plastic bag until very well mixed.
- Scoop out a small amount into a small silicone cup, add drops of water and mix to determine colour. (Remember it will always dry lighter)
- If you are satisfied, then transfer the amount you need from the baggie into a mixing bowl and add water slowly until it is peanut butter consistency.
Colour mixing
MIX YOUR DRY CEMENT-BASED PRODUCTS AND COLORANT TOGETHER FIRST BEFORE ADDING WATER
When mixing colorants together to create new colour combinations, mix the colorants dry before adding to your concrete base and liquid.
I recommend you create a small sample board to ensure you get the colour you want.
NOTE: The best colour is achieved by using a white grout or cement-based adhesive. Merlin Mosaica sells white grout , white Cement-based adhesive and Bright White Pourable Cement.
Safety and clean up
- Particulate (N95) mask is recommended.
- Avoid contact with skin and clothes.
- Wash up with water.
