Concentrated Acrylic Additive
As an Adhesive Additive: for Heavy Traffic areas ONLY
Use in conjunction with our Cement Adhesive when working in demanding mosaic installations, including 3D, special effects, mixed media or heavy traffic areas. Use with the trowel method of application.
Do not use in Mosaic baggies – trowel or butter application only. Using this additive with an S2 rated adhesive will reduce the working time substantially, and make the adhesive very difficult to squeeze out.Â
- Mix 1 part additive to 2 parts water
- Mix 360-400mls with 1kg of dry adhesive powder.
- mix to a creamy consistency, with no lumps
- Allow mix to stand for 3 mins
- Re-mix prior to use
- Can be coloured with Merlin Mosaica pigments
- Allow adhesive to dry for at least 24 hours at 20ºC prior to grouting
- Do not apply in temps outside this range: 5ºC – 40ºC
To clean cured adhesive off tiles, apply a mix of water (with a small amount of detergent added) with an old toothbrush, rub gently.
As a Grout Additive:
Increases flexibility and strength.
- Mix 1 part additive to 3 parts water
- Add to grout
- may reduce working time
- To minimise grout bleed, I recommend mixing your grout drier than normal – more biscuit dough than toothpaste!

1-10 Silverback mini glass sheets will fit into a STANDARD SMALL post box.
1-5 Hobby Squares will fit into a SMALL glass box.
Larger orders will require one or more LARGE glass boxes. Express postage on these parcels is dependant on your postcode. Please email me for a quote if required.
I package carefully. However, damage may occur during transit. Product is shipped entirely at your own risk.
International Shipping:
My website does not allow international customers to check out. Please e-mail me a list of the products you want (you can create a wishlist and email it to me), your shipping address and the preferred method of payment. I will prepare a quote and email it to you. If acceptable, I will send a payment request/invoice. Items will be shipped once payment has cleared.
Apologies – I do NOT ship glass internationally. Grouts ship to Australia and New Zealand only.
