I am currently shipping orders on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays.
I operate this business without assistance. Whilst I DO endeavour to ship as soon as I possibly can, I cannot guarantee to ship out the same day as the order is received.
1-10 Silverback mini glass sheets will fit into a STANDARD SMALL post box.
1-5 Hobby Squares will fit into a SMALL glass box.
Larger orders will require one or more LARGE glass boxes. Express postage on these parcels is dependant on your postcode. Please email me for a quote if required.
Postage Unders & Overs:
Some errors may occur in shipping calculations, due to the complexities of combining products in one order. If you have overpaid shipping I will refund, or issue a credit. If you have underpaid, I will invoice for the difference. If you feel the postage charge is incorrect – please contact me by phone (most immediate) or email.
No refunds will be given for glass sheets damaged in transit.
I package carefully. However, damage may occur during transit. Product is shipped entirely at your own risk.Â
International Shipping:
- – You can now request a Shipping Quote. Please allow a few days to get a response (due to time differences) as these are prepared manually at the end of the business day.
- – If purchasing from the US, be aware that US Government Tariffs and Postal Clearance fees will be included on your order. Merlin Mosaica charges a small processing fee. Read more here
- – Apologies – I do NOT ship glass internationally.Â
- – Grouts ship to Australia and New Zealand only.
Free Postage (Australia only) on orders above $250 will NOT apply:
- – If more than one parcel is required. I will apply Free Shipping to the most expensive (shipping-wise) parcel. I will bill you for shipping on other parcel(s) in the order.
- – If a Seniors/Pension Discount code is used. Please consider carefully which option presents the best value to you.
Your understanding is appreciated.
What you will need
- Scale to measure in grams
- Metal measuring spoons
- Large container for mixing
- Small container for testing colour (silicone)
- Metal spatula
- Mosaic baggies are handy to pipe grout or adhesive onto your piece – available here
- Dropper or syringe for water
Mixing suggestions
- Shake powdered colorant and cement base in a plastic bag until very well mixed.
- Scoop out a small amount into a small silicone cup, add drops of water and mix to determine colour. (Remember it will always dry lighter)
- If you are satisfied, then transfer the amount you need from the baggie into a mixing bowl and add water slowly until it is peanut butter consistency.
Colour mixing
MIX YOUR DRY CEMENT-BASED PRODUCTS AND COLORANT TOGETHER FIRST BEFORE ADDING WATER
When mixing colorants together to create new colour combinations, mix the colorants dry before adding to your concrete base and liquid.
I recommend you create a small sample board to ensure you get the colour you want.
NOTE: The best colour is achieved by using a white grout or cement-based adhesive. Merlin Mosaica sells white grout , white Cement-based adhesive and Bright White Pourable Cement.
Safety and clean up
- Particulate (N95) mask is recommended.
- Avoid contact with skin and clothes.
- Wash up with water.
